MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — An online survey wants to hear from Wisconsinites about how the state should use opioid settlement funds.
Department of Health Services Director of Substance Use Initiatives Michelle Haese says this type of feedback has helped lead to a drop in overdose deaths in recent years.
“It’s really a testament to all of the good work that is happening across the state of Wisconsin. Genuine people doing the hard work, talking to folks, educating, providing service, advocating,” Haese said.
There was a total of 818 opioid overdose deaths in 2024, compared to 1,422 in 2023.
