BARRON, Wis. (WJMC) — An Eau Claire man charged with nearly a dozen child sex crimes, may have committed similar crimes at a Chetek campground, says the Barron County Sheriff’s Department.
82-year-old Robert Karstensen was charged last month in Eau Claire County, for 11 felony child sex crimes with incidents occurring as late as 2014 to 2018.
The Barron County Sheriff’s Department says incidents occurred in the 1990s as well. Investigators say he may have victimized other individuals during the years 1994 to 1998, using connections at the Chetek River Campground, near Chetek.
