RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — Barron County Supervisor Burnell “Bun” Hanson has resigned from the board of supervisors and applicants are sought to fill the remainder of his term on the 29-member board.
Appointees approved by the board will serve out the remainder of the term which expires April 2026. Eligible applicants must be a citizen, an eligible voter, must have no felony convictions or be pardoned of the conviction and be a resident of District 21.
The 21st Supervisor District includes Rice Lake Wards 14 and 15 in Rice Lake’s Fourth Aldermanic District in the southeast part of the city.
Those with interest in serving should submit a letter of interest to County Clerk Jessica Hodek by email, mail or in person by August 12. Contact information can be found on the county website barroncountywi.gov.
