BALSAM LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — A juvenile has died from injuries in an ATV crash this weekend.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said two juveniles were riding on an ATV, going south on 250th Street, south of 20th Avenue, northwest of New Richmond, on Saturday evening.
Just after 7 p.m., the driver lost control of the ATV and rolled the machine in the west ditch. Neither were wearing helmets.
The passenger was airlifted to a Minnesota hospital but later died. The driver was had nonlife-threatening injuries.
No names were released. The crash was under investigation.
