RICE LAKE, Wis. (NWN) – Grand fireworks shows are promised throughout the area for America’s 250th anniversary.

In Rice Lake, a firework show will be displayed over the lake around 10 p.m. tonight, hosted by Rice Lake Tourism. The fireworks will be launched from Knights Island, off of Veterans Memorial City Park, and boaters are reminded to stay at least 400 feet away from the island. 

Prior to the fireworks, the Municipal Band performs at the band shell at 7 p.m.

Shell Lake’s fireworks are at 10 p.m. this evening, hosted by Shell Lake Chamber of Commerce. A larger show is promised for America’s 250th anniversary. A street dance starts at 8 p.m. on Fifth Street, with music pausing for the fireworks show. 

Fireworks shows are tonight at the Rusk County Fairgrounds in Ladysmith, at the Lodge in Danbury, and the park in Exeland.

Fireworks shows are scheduled for Saturday evening on Lake Chetek, St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake, and Cedar Lake in Mikana.
