MENOMONIE, Wis. (WJMC) — Names have been released from two separate fatal crashes in Dunn County on Saturday.
Sheriff Kevin Bygd said 36-year-old Jake Wagner, of Durand, was killed when his 1961 Jeep experienced a mechanical issue and crashed on 960th Street, west of Eau Claire on Saturday just before 9:30 p.m. Speed was a factor in the crash, authorities said. Wagner was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second crash, reported minutes later, killed 36-year-old Tonya Todd, of Boyceville. Todd was driving north on Highway 79 when her Pontiac G6 crossed the centerline and struck a Chevy Silverado head-on. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
