BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WRN) — Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs faces domestic abuse charges.
Brown County prosecutors filed charges Thursday in connection with an incident in May. Jacobs was arrested after allegedly striking and choking his domestic partner. A criminal complaint says the woman confronted Jacobs after finding messages from other women on his phone, leading to the fight over a pair of cellphones owned by the victim, who was trying to call police. Prosecutors say the incident was caught on a home security camera.
Jacobs faces 9 months in jail on the most serious charge. He’ll be back in court in November for his initial appearance.
