WEBSTER, Wis. (WJMC) — A Webster man arrested for an OWI after he allegedly struck a pedestrian with a vehicle early Sunday morning.

Burnett County Sheriff Tracy Finch said 37-year-old Luke Beechler was driving on County Highway FF, near the intersection of Perida Road, west of Webster. Just after 1 a.m. on Sunday, Beechler called police saying he had struck a pedestrian.

The victim was airlifted to the Twin Cities, Minnesota, for medical care. A name was not released, and their condition is not known at this time.

Beechler was arrested for second or subsequent OWI-causing injury, and he was booked in the Burnett County Jail. The incident was under investigation.
