RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — An open house and ribbon cutting for the new Rice Lake Aquatic and Recreation Center is Saturday.

The facility opened this week, with water aerobics classes for annual members and training for lifeguards, said Pool Director Courtney Foss.

“Soft opening this week for our annual membership and water aerobics ladies. Went very well. We had a pretty big outcome; a lot of people showed up. And then we turned around and did lifeguard training for all of our lifeguards to get ready for Monday morning,” Foss said.

A ribbon cutting and open house is 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, with open swim from 1 until 4 p.m. Swimming lessons, kids swimming leagues, and community classes are offered.
