MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — The scammers that call you trying to get your money are using the same technology legitimate sales teams use to make their sales.
That’s according to Wisconsin Better Business Bureau Spokesperson Lisa Schiller who says the laws in place to stop spam calls need to catch up with technology.
“We’re looking to strengthen and expand that TCPA or Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the telemarketing sales rule, also known as the TSR, to broaden the types of calls that are included. And that includes text messages as well,” Schiller said.
