MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WRN) — The Milwaukee Bucks and the State of Wisconsin are encouraging residents to learn the warning signs of domestic abuse.
Department of Health Services Secretary Kirsten Johnson says people should know what to watch for.
“Domestic violence is not always easy to recognize. It is threats, intimidation, controlling finances, monitoring a phone or someone’s location, isolating someone from friends and family who could be their support, sexual pressure, emotional abuse, stalking, and physical violence,” Johnson said.
The statewide awareness campaign will focus on helping people recognize signs of abuse and connect with resources.
