RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — The founder of Great White reflects on the band’s time at last week’s Aquafest.
On Saturday the 7th, Great White took the stage as part of Aquafest’s musical entertainment. The band played as a double header, with fellow rock group Quiet Riot. Great White’s guitarist and founder Mark Kendall talks about the crowds.
“The fans were totally amazing. Overall, just a great event. Everybody was into the show, right from the very first note. People are close to a lot of our songs, you know. We pretty much grew up with our fans,” Kendall said.
However, Kendall mentions a little thievery put a damper on an otherwise great evening.
“Well, while we were on stage, what they think happened is somebody jumped over a fence. And they broke into our trailer, and they took a leather jacket I had, and the singer’s backpack, which, you know, had his wallet and ID and all that kind of stuff,” Kendall said.
But despite this incident, Kendall puts things into perspective.
“Everything can be replaced,” he said.
Anyone with information on the stolen items should report it to the Rice Lake Police Department. A reward was offered.
