MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — News that UW Hospital and Children’s Wisconsin have halted gender-affirming care for minors is welcomed by the top Republican in the legislature.
“It’s my understanding, and I don’t have confirmation yet, that every facility in the state is following the same dictates. I’m happy that Children’s made that decision to do it, but I hope if there are any other in Wisconsin, they would also follow suit,” Vos said.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos calls the it “gender mutilation” and says it’s been outlawed in other parts of the world.
