(Milwaukee, WI) — Two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo says whenever he gets booed, he boos back. Bucks fans booed their team Tuesday as they left the court at halftime against Minnesota while they were down by more than 30 points. Later in the game, Antetokounmpo gave the unhappy crowd two thumbs down and booed them while he sat on the court after being fouled. He tells ESPN that he’ll do it again if necessary. The fans in Milwaukee are disgruntled by a team with a 17-and-23 record. The Bucks take on a rising NBA power tonight (Thursday) in San Antonio.
Pregame at 6:30pm. Tipoff at 7pm on AM1240 & 96.5FM

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Kiki Rice had 25 points on 8-for-9 shooting and Lauren Betts posted her third straight double-double, leading No. 3 UCLA past Minnesota 76-58. Betts staved off early foul trouble to finish with 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Bruins improved to 16-1 and stayed unbeaten in Big Ten play while pushing their winning streak to 10. Their only loss was to No. 4 Texas in Las Vegas. The Bruins shot 60% from the floor against the top defensive team in the nation. UCLA had by far the highest final score in a regulation game this season against Minnesota.

(Dallas, TX) — The Dallas Cowboys have requested permission to interview a Packers assistant. DeMarcus Covington is a defensive line coach and run game coordinator on Matt LaFleur’s staff. He joined the team just before the 2025 NFL season. The 36-year-old Covington came to Green Bay after eight seasons with the New England Patriots. The Cowboys want to talk with him about their need for a defensive coordinator.

EAGAN, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings haven’t wavered in their support of J.J. McCarthy while continuing to exude optimism about his potential when publicly discussing their developing quarterback. What they haven’t done is commit to him as their starter for next season. They’re certain to add a veteran to the mix, either in free agency or a trade. The Vikings are fully aware of how much the injuries have set McCarthy back on the learning curve. He has started just 10 games over two years.

(Madison, WI) — For the first time in six years, a Wisconsin football player has been named to an All-American freshman team. Linebacker Mason Posa got the honor Wednesday after earning a starting spot in midseason. Posa played a significant number of snaps in only five games, but he produced 58 tackles, four sacks, four tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and forced two fumbles. The last Badgers freshman to earn All-American honors was running back Braelon Allen in 2021.

(Madison, WI) — Coming off last weekend’s sweep of Alaska-Anchorage, the Wisconsin men’s hockey team takes on a much tougher opponent. Number-four-ranked Michigan State will skate against the Badgers at the Kohl Center tonight (Thursday) and Friday. Wisconsin has a record of 15-3-and-2 while the Spartans are 15-and-5. Coach Mike Hastings’ Bucks already swept this Big Ten opponent back in November.
