A new restaurant, with four little reindeer, has opened in Barron County.

Located just off of County Highway SS, south of Rice Lake, 6FourAccord and Reindeer Hill, are owned by couple Tyler and DeAnna Westphal.

DeAnna Westphal said the name comes from Tyler’s college nickname, some family meanings, and a nod to European history.

“Interestingly enough, when we were deciding the name, it became 1648 the Treaty of Westphalia and the Treaty of Westphalia actually ended a 30-year European religious war. So an accord is a place of ceasefire or temporary peace,” Westphal said.

Reindeer Hill has four young reindeer, Cocoa, Bravo, Willa and Comet. 6Four Accord serves lunch and dinner, and features high-tech self-serve beer taps.

“6Four Accord is really the tap house and eatery. It’s an opportunity for people to gather amongst the generations and we have a playground. We have fire pits, reservable spaces throughout and then the reindeer at Reindeer Hill are really that education tour where you can come in and interact with the reindeer and I give you a private tour of all the different animals and their personalities,” Westphal said. “You get to touch them and hug a reindeer. You can also feed them if you want to.”

Today through Sunday, the venue is having a grand opening with special events and offerings.
