Vladimir Guerrero Jr. added a two-run single as the AL East-leading Blue Jays won for the 30th time in 39 home games. Scherzer (5-2) allowed four runs and four hits, including two home runs. (Green Bay, WI) — The Packers managed to create some much-needed depth along the offensive line by making a trade with Philadelphia Monday. Packers-dot-com reports that third-year NFL lineman Darian Kinnard comes to Green Bay in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. Kinnard was originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. He has been on the rosters for the last three Super Bowl champions. Kinnard will wear uniform number 70.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have traded cornerback Mekhi Blackmon to the Indianapolis Colts for a sixth-round draft pick. The deal was announced on Monday night and it’s pending a physical. Blackmon was a third-round pick in 2023. He made three starts with the Vikings, recording seven pass breakups and one interception. He tore his ACL during training camp last year. The Colts are dealing with multiple injuries in their secondary. They recently signed veteran Xavien Howard. Kenny Moore II, Jaylon Jones, and JuJu Brents are all recovering from injuries. Rookie Justin Walley also tore his ACL earlier this month.

(Madison, WI) — Starting cornerback Nyzier Fourquean will miss the Badgers’ season opener as his request for a preliminary injunction makes its way through the courts. Fourquean wants the judge to give him temporary eligibility while his case against the NCAA waits for a ruling. Sports Illustrated reports the judge is giving the NCAA until Friday to respond. Redshirt freshman Omillio Agard and transfer senior D’Yoni Hill will replace Fourquean against the Miami of Ohio Redhawks Thursday.

(Milwaukee, WI) — The media isn’t giving the new-look Bucks much of a chance in the upcoming NBA season. ESPN projects Milwaukee to fall the most in the standings. A complete roster makeover means the Bucks will no longer be one of the league’s older, slower teams – but that doesn’t seem to impress the analysts. Giannis Antetokounmpo and newcomer Myles Turner figure to be one of the best defensive frontcourts in the NBA, but there are too many questions after that.
