ASHLAND, Wis. (WJMC) — A woman missing from Rice Lake has been found dead in Ashland.
Police on Tuesday asked the public if they had seen 60-year-old Toni Peterson. She had left her residence on Monday morning, leaving behind her cellphone and letters for her family, which led to concern for her well-being. Authorities and family believed her to be in the Ashland area.
On Friday, Ashland Police notified local authorities that Peterson was found deceased in the city. No foul play was suspected but her death was being investigated by Ashland Police Department.
