MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday morning. At 2 a.m. on March 8, clocks “spring forward” to 3 a.m.
Ready Wisconsin, with the state’s emergency management department, recommends people use this as a reminder to update their home emergency plans with loved ones. Check and restock any home and vehicle emergency and first aid kits. Make or review plans for if a natural disaster hits. Prepare your home for potential severe weather by clearing gutters and downspouts, checking sump pumps, and checking that your insurance is updated.
It’s also a good time to check that your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are working and not expired.
