PRAIRIE FARM, Wis. (WJMC) — A man with a rifle was taken into custody Friday morning in Prairie Farm.
Barron County Sheriff Jodi Kummet said callers reported a man with a gun walking north on County Road F from the Dunn County line. The Prairie Farm School and a nearby business were placed on lock down as a precaution. Callers reported the man had posted on social media and was live-streaming, making threats to harm himself and the school.
He was taken into custody without further incident and booked in the Barron County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct, possession of a firearm in a school zone and making terroristic threats.
Police have not named the man at this time and formal charges are pending.
