A new spokesperson promoting Wisconsin agriculture will begin duties in July.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has selected Anastasia Poull as Wisconsin’s 79th Alice in Dairyland. In this position, Poull will work for the contract year as a full-time communications professional for DATCP, educating the public about the importance of agriculture in Wisconsin.
Poull was selected Saturday at the Finals hosted by Marathon County, and shares her vision for the upcoming year.
“I’d like to take a look and maybe get back to basics and explain terminology for people, or maybe do some tours that are a little outside our normal scope, such as a bison location,” Poull said.
Poull is a graduate of South Dakota State University, with bachelor’s degrees in animal science, agricultural leadership, and agricultural science, and minors in agricultural business and communication studies. She’ll begin her term as the 79th Alice in Dairyland on July 6th. She succeeds the 78th Alice in Dairyland, Sarah Hagenow, who will continue her current term until the transition in July.
Milwaukee County was announced as the host of the 80th Alice in Dairyland Finals, set for May of 2027.
