SIREN, Wis. (NWN) — A gas leak in the village of Siren led to an evacuation Monday afternoon.
Authorities said a gas line was struck near the intersection of State Highways 35 and 70 and Johnson Street, north of the stoplights. People in the immediate area were asked to evacuate.
Utility crews shut off the gas line and the leak. Residents were able to return and detours were reopened Monday. No injuries were reported.
