RICE LAKE, Wis. (NWN) — This morning’s air quality index was above 150 for much of the region, considered “unhealthy.” Today’s forecast shows some improvement, with levels dropping to 100 to 150, considered “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.”
The National Weather Service also has a heat advisory for Northwest Wisconsin counties, including Burnett, Douglas, Sawyer and Washburn. These counties could see heat index values up to 95 degrees between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. today.
