BARRON, Wis. (WJMC) — A mother daughter relationship is the focus of a local theatre production.

The Barron Spotlighters open their next production tonight, with Terms of Endearment, based on the movie and novel.

Performances run today and tomorrow, and the 11th and 12th, at 7:30 p.m., with 2:30 p.m. matinees on Sunday, April 6th and again on the 13th, at the Barron Area Community Center.

Cast member Sheila Shaffer, who plays Aurora Greenway, gives a preview.

“Aurora is a controlling mother, all about her daughter, and being involved in her daughter’s life. And she has definite opinions of how she should live, and who she should marry. A lot of her love revolves around her. Through the course of the show, that turns around,” Greenway said.

Tickets are $18, and available at the door. The Spotlighters stress that the show does include adult content.
