BIRCHWOOD, Wis. (WJMC) — Birchwood’s annual Bluegill Festival is today, Saturday and Sunday. Brad Bratvold says its a family friendly event.
“It’s a great place for everybody to come out with your family. If you’re looking for a little fun, a little bit more low-key, we’d love to have you. I know there’s lots of events this weekend, but we’d definitely love to have you come out and check us out. Food prices are great, the food is great, the parade is going to be fabulous,” Bratvold said.
This morning, there’s a pancake breakfast at the American Legion Post 379, a kids half-mile fun run, pickleball tournament, a 5K fun run/walk at the school, craft vendors, a beanbag tournament and a pie and ice cream social at Village Hall. The Lions Club food tent and beer garden, and the Historical Morey House open. This afternoon, There is Princess Camp, kids games, and music by the Gators, followed by music by Whiskey & Topaz. This evening, an outdoor Mass at St. Johns Catholic Church, the mouse game, the presentation of the Bluegill Queen, her court and Little Miss, and music by Divided Highway.
Other events include the grand parade at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
