CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WJMC) — Learn about bee conservation and sustainability at a brand new expo in the region.
The inaugural Chippewa Valley Bee Expo is set for Saturday, at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The purpose is to educate the community, and bring awareness, about the importance of bees and beekeeping.
“The main stage is going to do a lot of things with bees, and how to keep bees, and how to get involved in bees,” said Expo director Galen Klisiewicz.
“But along with that there is the USDA that’s coming in, and they’re going to talk about their programs. Pheasants Forever are going to talk about their programs. And all of those are programs that help the pollinators. There are food plot people that are coming in, and they’re going to do some demonstrations. On the other end of the building, it’s cooking with honey. And they’re going to actually cook, and give you chances to taste the product.”
The day will also feature over forty vendor booths, food trucks, youth programs and a children’s education corner. Tickets are available at the fairgrounds, with a discount for seniors and veterans.
