CUMBERLAND, Wis. (WJMC) — The Island City is all set for another year of Rutabaga Fest.

Thursday through Sunday, Cumberland celebrates the 93rd Rutabaga Fest. During the four days, visitors can participate in such events as baga yoga, the hot pepper-eating contest, the run/walk, and live music from such performers as Chris Kroeze and the Dweebs. And even with construction taking place throughout the Island City, Cumberland Chamber coordinator Emily Schutte says getting around won’t be a problem.

“I think that they aren’t going to have many road closures due to the construction. It’s more just us, now, the areas that we have closed off for our different events. You should be able to navigate town pretty close to normal,” Schutte said. “But we have a lot of good signs up around town to direct you on how to drive. If it says ‘no entry,’ please don’t enter!”
