Hunt Hill Nature Center: Cakes at the Lake
August 9, 2025 @ 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Hunt Hill Nature Center will be hosting Cakes at the Lake on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 9:45 am and is followed by a free environmental program sponsored by the Long Lake Preservation Association (www.longlakellpa.org) at 10:00 am. The topic of this Cakes at the Lake program is on Bats of Wisconsin with Christi Spak
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it’s a bat! This all ages program will introduce participants to the bats that call Wisconsin home. Through fun facts, actual bat calls, imagery, and more we’ll discover some of the reasons these true flying mammals are incredible and how we can help them. Educator Christi Spak’s engaging and enthusiastic presentation will keep us on the edge of our seats and leave us with a deeper appreciation for these night-time animals. Please Note: This is a topic change from what is shown in Hunt Hill’s program guide. We apologize for the confusion.
Cakes at the Lake is an all-you-care-to-eat pancake breakfast which features buttermilk pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, and beverages. Breakfast is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 4 to 12 years old, and free for children three and under. The environmental program is free. Registration is not required.
