LADYSMITH, Wis. (WJMC) — Rusk County Sheriff Phil Grassman is running for sheriff. He was appointed to the position in April 2024 by Gov. Tony Evers.
Grassmann cited his 23 years in law enforcement from patrol deputy to chief deputy and then as sheriff. He said he aimed to build trust between the community and law enforcement.
The fall primary is August 11, and general election November 3.
