HAYWARD, Wis. (WJMC) — A false bomb threat on Friday put Hayward High School on a brief lockdown on Friday.
District Administrator Mark Berquist said the school received a report a student potentially had a bomb on school grounds, and the district immediately contacted law enforcement and began safety protocols. The student was located, and it was determined there was no threat. The school was placed on a “soft lockdown” for about 20 minutes during this time.
The student’s name and other details were not being released, but the student will face disciplinary action, the school said.
