BARRON, Wis. (WJMC) — A man is in jail, on charges of sexual assault of a child under 13 and child abuse with intentional harm.
Barron County Sheriff Jodi Kummet said 26-year-old Devon S. Bernstein was arrested Tuesday morning by Barron County Sheriff’s Deputies with the help of Rice Lake Police and Washburn County Sheriff’s Deputies. Authorities said Bernstein was accused of two sexual assaults over the previous two days.
He allegedly attempted to evade arrest and officers used a Taser to detain him.
No other information was released at this time and formal charges are pending from the District Attorney’s office.
