RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — A local organization will honor veterans this weekend.
The Rice Lake Moose Lodge will host Patriot Palooza this Saturday. The event is a fundraiser for local organizations that support our nation’s veterans. Event Coordinator Sara Foss explains the organization the event will help this year:
“Every year, we will choose a different veterans organization to raise funds and awareness for. This year, we are doing it for One Battle Inc. They serve veterans in Barron County, Dunn County, Chippewa County, and Eau Claire County. Mostly, what they do is help veterans who are feeling isolated after they come back from service. A lot of them feel isolated, and they help them reintegrate back into civilian life,” Foss said.
The event is free and open to the public and will include a free meal to honor those who have served.
