BOYCEVILLE, Wis. (WRN) — Two people were injured when a small, single-engine plane crashed in a field near the Boyceville airport on Sunday.
Just after noon on Sunday, deputies and first responders were called to the area of State Highway170 and Boundary Road. The pilot, a 36-year-old woman from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and passenger, a 51-year-old man from Marshfield, were transported to a hospital.
The investigation showed the plane had taken off from the airport just before the crash.
The plane has been removed from the scene and the crash was under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
