RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — The Aquafest Entertainment area is in the same location in downtown Rice Lake this year.
Due to barricades around the Birchwood Manufacturing parking lot, the main gate and beer tent has been moved slightly. Brian Schultz, event organizer, says everything else will be the same as years past.
“Basically, Aquafest is going to be the exact same spot it always has been the last 25 years plus. The stage will be set up almost identically the same place it was last year,” Schultz said.
“We just don’t have access to Birchwood Manufacturing’s parking lot. The beer tent has been moved over to the [Rice Lake] Chamber’s parking lot. We can make it work wonderfully there,” Schultz explained.
“Same size stage. It won’t look a lot different in a lot of regards. The VIP areas will be the same, the porta pottys will be the same. The food court will be exactly the same. The front entrance of the festival grounds will be on the street—in front of Dairy State Bank on the street,” he said.
Schultz added bleachers will be replaced by picnic tables.
Main Street will be closed from Water Street to Messenger Street, starting 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, through 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 8. Main stage music events are June 5, 6 and 7.
Aquafest kicks off this Friday, May 30. For more information and the full schedule visit aquafestonline.com.
