Brooks Lee hit a tiebreaking two-run single in the eighth inning for the Minnesota Twins in a 3-1 victory to complete a four-game sweep of the Detroit Tigers on Thursday. Mick Abel pitched six scoreless innings and Josh Bell went 3 for 4 with a home run for the Twins, who posted the first four-game sweep in Major League Baseball this season. The last team the Twins swept in four games was the Athletics in June 2024.The Twins will start a three game series with the Toronto Blue Jays tonight.

Simon Tassy and Ryan Botterill scored 27 seconds apart in the first period and Wisconsin defeated North Dakota 2-1 on Thursday to put the Badgers in the Frozen Four title game for the first time since 2010. The Badgers (24-12-2), seeded third in their region, will play Denver (28-11-3) in the championship game Saturday Denver beat Michigan 4-3 in double overtime to advance to the title game. Wisconsin has won six titles, its most recent coming 20 years ago.
At the Masters it is a two way tie at the top after day one. American Sam Burns and Rory McIlroy are tied at five under par. Behind them is a three way tie for third at three under par.
