MINNEAPOLIS (AP) —Jordan Addison took a jet sweep handoff 65 yards for the game-sealing touchdown with 3:43 left after the Vikings forced six turnovers and eliminated the Detroit Lions from contention for the playoffs with a 23-10 victory on Thursday. Harrison Smith, the six-time Pro Bowl safety, had one of the two interceptions and one of the five sacks of Jared Goff as the Vikings (8-8) won their fourth straight game. Smith also had three pass deflections, two tackles for loss and one quarterback hit. The third straight loss for Detroit means the Green Bay Packers have clinched a playoff spot.

The Green Bay Packers will take on the Baltimore Ravens Saturday. Both Jordan Love and Malik Willis are listed as questionable for the game. Love practiced on a limited basis this week. Willis hurt his throwing shoulder against the Bears and was considered a limited practice participant Tuesday and Thursday. Willis didn’t practice Wednesday because of an illness. Pregame gets under way at 5:00 kickoff scheduled for 7:00 on 96.1-FM

Nikola Jokic recorded a 56-point triple-double and set an NBA record with 18 points in overtime, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 142-138 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday night. Jokic added 16 rebounds and 15 assists and Jamal Murray scored 35 points as the Nuggets improved to 3-0 this season against the Wolves, who got 44 points from Anthony Edwards.

The Milwaukee Bucks are in Memphis taking on the Memphis Grizzlies tonight The Grizzlies are 6-8 on their home court. Santi Aldama is scoring 14.4 points per game with 6.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists for the Grizzlies. Jaren Jackson Jr. is averaging 21.0 points and 7.0 rebounds.
