(Green Bay, WI) — Packers coach Matt LaFleur says Jordan Love will only play in Sunday’s game against the Vikings if he’s needed as a backup. LaFleur will start Clayton Tune in the final regular-season game. Minnesota is a six-and-a-half to seven-and-a-half-point favorite. Love was a full participant, and Malik Willis was limited in Thursday’s practice. Tune was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 2023 and has made one NFL start, completing 11-of-20 passes, with two interceptions and a fumble in a shutout loss. Trevon Diggs, who was claimed off waivers earlier in the week, might play Sunday – but that’s not likely.
Packers Preview starts at 10am on 96.1FM.
Vikings Gameday starts at 11am on 99.1FM.
Kickoff at noon.
Tonight the Milwaukee Bucks host the Charlotte Hornets. Pregame at 6:30pm. TIpoff at 7pm on AM1240 & 96.5FM.
MIAMI (AP) — Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier will have surgery on both ankles and is expected to be sidelined four to six months, including the upcoming Unrivaled season. The 3-on-3 women’s basketball league made the announcement Thursday. Collier had been rehabbing ankle injuries suffered during the WNBA season. She said last month she was working back to full strength so she could be available for Unrivaled’s second season, which begins Monday. She suffered a sprained right ankle during an August game and missed several weeks. She then hurt her left ankle in Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals.
(Madison, WI) — The Wisconsin men’s basketball team could add a player to the roster under the new NCAA rules. Head coach Greg Gard confirmed that while speaking with reporters Thursday. Gard says he’s talked to agents about the possibility, but nothing is close. The Badgers have an open spot because Elijah Gray, a transfer from Temple, was dismissed last October. Making such a move may come back to how NIL money Wisconsin has in “the bank.”
(Nashville, TN) — Former Badgers wide receiver Chimere Dike has set the NFL record for all-purpose yards in a season by a rookie. With 40 kick return yards, 55 receiving yards, and seven rushing yards in his team’s game against the Saints Sunday, he moved past the mark set by Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Tim Brown. Dike goes into the 2025 NFL season finale with 2-thousand-317 all-purpose yards.
