LOS ANGELES (AP) — Giannis Antetokounmpo had 28 points and the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the short-handed Los Angeles Lakers 118-89. Gary Trent Jr. had 23 points off the bench, Kyle Kuzma added 20 and the Bucks swept the season series with two comfortable wins eight days apart. Bronny James had 17 points to reach double figures for the first time in 22 NBA games, but the Lakers had their nine-game home winning streak snapped. Los Angeles was without its top four scorers, including LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves.

DENVER (AP) — Wisconsin grinded its way back into the March Madness win column, getting double-digit scoring from five players on the way to an 85-66 victory over Montana. This was the first victory in the NCAA Tournament for the third-seeded Badgers since 2022. Last year, they were a first-round upset victim to James Madison. Next, coach Greg Gard’s team will try to make the Sweet 16 for the first time in eight years with a game against BYU in the East Region. John Blackwell led Wisconsin with 19 points and Steven Crowl scored 18. Te’Jon Sawyer and Kai Johnson led Montana with 15 points each.

High School Boys Basketball today with Turtle Lake taking on Cochran Fountain City in a division five State semifinal. The Lakers are making their first trip to the State tournament and for the first time in the WIAA a boys basketball team is being led by a female head coach.
