Luis Rengifo knocked in three runs with a pair of singles, and starter Kyle Harrison pitched five scoreless innings to claim the win. Andrew Vaughn also drove in a pair of runs. Milwaukee starts a three-game series in Minnesota tonight (Friday).

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Zebby Matthews threw seven scoreless innings in his season debut as the Minnesota Twins beat the Miami Marlins 9-1 to win consecutive series for the first time in a month. Matthews allowed four hits and one walk allowed over 83 pitches after being promoted from Triple-A. Austin Martin and Josh Bell had two-run doubles in a five-run second inning against Marlins starter Braxton Garrett to spoil the left-hander’s first major league appearance in nearly two years. Martin and James Outman each had two hits, a walk and three RBIs as the Twins won for the fourth time in five games.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Natasha Howard scored 26 points as the Minnesota Lynx defeat the Dallas Wings 90-86. Howard’s tiebreaking layup with 51 seconds left, assisted by rookie Olivia Miles, helped seal the win. Courtney Williams added 21 points, while Kayla McBride contributed 11, including key free throws. Paige Bueckers led the Wings with 27 points. Maddy Siegrist scored 17 in the first half and Odyssey Sims added 11. The Lynx overcame a 12-point deficit with a strong second-quarter run.

(Green Bay, WI) — For the seventh time in head coach Matt LaFleur’s eight seasons, the Packers will start 2026 on the road. The first two games will be away from Lambeau Field. The story is the same for three out of the first four games. The good news is – Green Bay will be on the home turf for four of the last five games of the 2026 NFL season.

(Milwaukee, WI) — Bucks center Myles Turner says teammates were consistently late for practices and meetings, but nobody got fined. Turner shared the lack of a sense of order in the Milwaukee locker room under coach Doc Rivers. The biggest offender? Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Turner told the story on his podcast that, “If the plane took off at two o’clock, we weren’t leaving till 4:30.” The former Bucks coach Rivers will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in August.

(Chicago, IL) — Former Wisconsin Badgers John Blackwell and Nick Boyd are impressing scouts at the NBA Combine in Chicago this week. Blackwell scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds in the first scrimmage. His defensive intensity was also noted. Boyd scored 23, to go with eight assists, in the second scrimmage. Boyd wasn’t expected to be in the draft, but that might change. Blackwell still has to decide whether to declare or transfer to Duke to continue his college career.
