WASHINGTON (AP) — Keibert Ruiz homered, doubled twice and drove in four runs to lift the Washington Nationals to a 7-5 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Ruiz’s solo shot off John Klein broke a 5-all tie in the seventh, and Curtis Mead added an RBI single later that inning. PJ Poulin won in relief, and Gus Varland got four outs for his fourth save. Ryan Jeffers homered for Minnesota. Ruiz also scored three times. He hit an RBI double in the third and a two-run double in the fifth.

(Milwaukee, WI) — Brewers veteran right-hander Brandon Woodruff is back on the injured list. The team says he had a procedure to drain fluid from his shoulder. Doctors say there’s nothing structurally wrong with Woodruff’s shoulder. He has dealt with shoulder issues, causing him to miss big chunks of the last three seasons. Woodruff told reporters he doesn’t believe he will be out of action very long.
Tonight the Brewers host the New York Yankees. Pregame at 6:05pm. First pitch at 6:40pm on AM1240 & 96.5FM

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Maggie Flaherty and Hayley Scamurra scored 24 seconds apart early in the second period, Ann-Renée Desbiens made 27 saves, and the Montreal Victoire beat the Minnesota Frost 2-1 in the PWHL playoffs. Montreal won a playoff game on the road for the first time in franchise history to take a 2-1 series lead in the best-of-five semifinal. Flaherty, who is the only player from Minnesota on the Victoire, got her own rebound and scored a wraparound goal as goaltender Maddie Rooney couldn’t get to the left post fast enough. Then Scamurra beat Rooney high on the glove side just five minutes into the second. Minnesota went on a power play with 18.2 seconds remaining in the third, and won the faceoff, but couldn’t get the tying goal during a 6-on-4 opportunity.

Jauan Jennings agreed to one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings to give the team a needed third option at receiver. Agent Drew Rosenhaus said the deal could be worth up to $13 million. The Vikings were looking for a replacement for Jalen Nailor after he left as a free agent to sign with Las Vegas earlier this offseason. Jennings joins a receiver group led by two-time All-Pro Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addision.

(Green Bay, WI) — We don’t know times and dates, but we do know who the Packers will be playing during the 2026 NFL regular season. Sharp Football Analysis reports that Green Bay has the 17th-most difficult schedule. The Packers are considered Super Bowl contenders every year, but they have just a 1-and-3 record in the playoffs since Jordan Love became the starting quarterback. Here’s a list of the teams Green Bay will face:
HOME GAMES: Bears, Lions, Vikings, Falcons, Bills, Panthers, Cowboys, Texans, and Dolphins.
ROAD GAMES: Bears, Lions, Vikings, Rams, Patriots, Saints, Jets, and Buccaneers.
The Minnesota Lynx host the Atlanta Dream for the season opener. The teams meet Saturday for the first time this season.

(Milwaukee, WI) — The Bucks say they will make a final decision on the status of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo by draft day. That means sometime in the next six weeks, because the 2026 NBA Draft gets underway June 23rd. Jimmy Haslam tells reporters that doing this just before the draft “is a natural time.” Haslam says he hopes the matter is settled by October.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The NCAA has expanded March Madness from 68 teams to 76. The change had been discussed for years, and Thursday’s vote made it so. CBS Sports reports that both men’s and women’s tournaments will have larger fields. The organization that controls college sports says it gave its unanimous approval because this means more championship opportunities for student-athletes, better matchups for fans, and increased investment in sports.
