(Miami, FL) — A three-run rally in the top of the first inning gave Miami a lead it wouldn’t give up Sunday afternoon. The Marlins built their edge to 5-1 before finally winning 5-3. That ended the Brewers’ four-game winning streak. Jacob Misiorowski absorbed the loss even though only one of the three runs he surrendered was earned. Second baseman Brice Turang extended his on-base streak to 25 in a row with a single. Milwaukee is off tonight (Monday), then meets the Tigers in Detroit with Kyle Harrison scheduled to start.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — TJ Friedl hit a go-ahead, three-run double in the ninth inning, Rece Hinds added a two-run double in the 10th, and the Cincinnati Reds rallied past the Minnesota Twins 7-4 on Sunday for a three-game sweep. Cincinnati scored six runs over the final two innings to win its third extra-inning game this season, matching its total from 2025. The NL Central-leading Reds are 11-0 in games decided by three or fewer runs, including 6-0 in one-run games. Cincinnati trailed 3-1 entering the ninth. With one out, Friedl, who hit a liner to right-center that cleared the bases and made it 4-3.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Savannah Harmon and Daryl Watts each scored a goal, Raygan Kirk had 24 saves, and the Toronto Sceptres beat the Minnesota Frost 2-0 to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Sceptres (10-1-5-12), who had lost back-to-back games and four of their last five, are two points behind Ottawa for the fourth and final playoff spot with two games to play. The Frost (13-3-4-8) has 39 points and, with two games remaining in the regular season, is locked into the No. 3 seed for the upcoming playoffs. Toronto was 2 for 2 with a one-man advantage and killed each of the Frost’s five power-play opportunities.

DALLAS (AP) — The Minnesota Wild now have an opportunity to do something they have never done in the NHL playoffs after putting the Dallas Stars in a very familiar postseason situation. Minnesota’s 6-1 thumping of their Central Division rival in Game 1 sets up the possibility Monday night to go up 2-0 in a playoff series for the first time in its 15 postseason appearances. The Wild have lost their last nine postseason series since 2015. For the Stars, it was the ninth time in 11 playoff series since 2022 that they lost Game 1. They still made the Western Conference final each of the past three seasons.

(Green Bay, WI) — Not having a first-round draft pick isn’t always a disaster for the Green Bay Packers. They’re in that situation for the 91st NFL Draft that starts Thursday. In 1986, the Packers took future Pro Bowl outside linebacker Tim Harris. With the 36th pick of the 2008 NFL Draft, Green Bay came away with franchise legend and wide receiver Jordy Nelson. It also picked up tight end Jermichael Finley and offensive lineman Josh Sitton in that draft. Finally, no first-round pick in the 2017 draft? No problem. The Pack was smart enough to draft running back Aaron Jones.

(Milwaukee, WI) — It wasn’t a good year for forward Myles Turner, but he’s told reporters he was to return to the Bucks next season. If the team decides to go for the future and trade Giannis Antetokounmpo, it could decide to swap Turner for more future considerations – like draft picks. He had a subpar season by his standards. Behind the Buck Pass-dot-com suggests most of the problems might have been caused by the way former coach Doc Rivers used Turner after he arrived.

(Madison, WI) — Just a few weeks after the end of the college basketball season, and it looks like the Badgers have filled the holes in their lineup. Point guard Owen Foxwell, shooting guard Trey Autry, and wing Eian Elmer will come through the transfer portal. They join Austin Rapp and Nolan Winter in what looks like a formidable offensive team. All five would-be starters are effective 3-point shooters. The only question appears to be whether they will mesh on defense.
