MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Stephen Curry scored 26 points to lead the Golden State Warriors past Minnesota 111-85 in the fifth straight loss for the Timberwolves and their longest skid in more than three years. Curry added seven assists and four of his team’s season-high 20 steals. Moses Moody had 19 points and eight rebounds as the Warriors moved within 1 1/2 games of the Timberwolves for seventh place in the Western Conference. Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 32 points and 11 rebounds after the game was postponed a day following the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis man by federal immigration officers.

(Milwaukee, WI) — The winter storm sweeping the country has resulted in the Bucks’ home game against the Dallas Mavericks being postponed. No makeup date has been announced. Dallas media reports the Mavericks’ team plane was stranded on the tarmac before it could take off. Three different NBA games were impacted this weekend by the massive storm system.

(Madison, WI) — The Badgers lost an up-and-down game at home Sunday afternoon, 73-71. Wisconsin had wiped out a 10-point deficit against USC in the first half, but then watched a 12-point lead melt away. The Badgers misfired on 20 of their last 27 shots. Nick Boyd missed what would have been a game-tying shot in the final seconds, but he scored a game-high 29 points. The defeat ended Wisconsin’s five-game winning streak. The next game is Wednesday at home against Minnesota.

SEATTLE (AP) — Sam Darnold threw for three touchdowns, the Seahawks’ “Dark Side” defense came up with a critical fourth-down stop, and Seattle advanced to the Super Bowl, beating the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in an electrifying NFC championship game. Led by second-year coach Mike Macdonald and Darnold, the Seahawks reached the fourth Super Bowl in franchise history and first in 11 years. Seattle lost that most recent appearance to New England, and the Patriots will again be the Seahawks’ opponent in two weeks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Matthew Stafford threw for 374 yards and three touchdowns for the Rams, but the Seahawks broke up his pass to the end zone on fourth-and-4 late in the fourth quarter.

DENVER (AP) — Drake Maye scored New England’s only touchdown on a 6-yard keeper, propelling the Patriots to their 12th Super Bowl with a 10-7 win over the Denver Broncos. Christian Gonzalez intercepted Jarrett Stidham at the New England 36 with 2:11 remaining and the Patriots iced their first playoff win in Denver when Maye ran for 7 yards on third-and-5 from his 41. The Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl. In Mike Vrabel’s first season as coach, New England became the third team in the Super Bowl era to win a conference championship with 10 points or less. The Broncos finished one step shy of fulfilling Sean Payton’s preseason prediction of a trip to Super Bowl 60.

(Green Bay, WI) — The Packers have hired former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon to become their defensive coordinator. He takes the place of Jeff Halfey, who left for a head coaching position with the Miami Dolphins. NFL-dot-com reports that Gannon takes over a talented defensive unit in Green Bay that dominated until Micah Parsons was lost for the season to an injury.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Taylor Heise and Kendall Coyne Schofield scored first-period goals just 12 seconds apart to help the Minnesota Frost beat the New York Sirens 6-2. Katy Knoll added two goals, which included an empty-netter, for Minnesota. Grace Zumwinkle and Kelly Pannek each scored a goal and Abby Hustler had two assists. Maddie Rooney had 25 saves. Kristyna Kaltounkova scored her ninth goal of the season for New York and Anna Bargman scored with six minutes to play. Kayle Osborne stopped 21 shots for the Sirens. Fans at the Grand Casino Arena chanted “ICE out now!” and there was a moment of silence for Alex Pretti — the second Minneapolis resident killed by federal officers this month — prior to the start of the game.

(Madison, WI) — The Wisconsin women’s hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Bemidji State by winning Sunday’s game 6-1. Five different Badgers scored, including a pair of goals from Kirsten Simms. She had a big weekend that included a six-point game in Saturday’s 10-3 victory. Five players from the Badger lineup will now leave for the 2026 Winter Games in Italy. Laila Edwards, Caroline Harvey, Ava McNaughton, Adela Sapovaliova, and Kirsten Simms should be back in Madison when postseason play starts.
