MINNEAPOLIS (AP) J.J. McCarthy threw a pair of interceptions and kickoff returner Myles Price fumbled deep in Minnesota territory, turnovers that directly led to 13 points for the Baltimore Ravens on the way to a 27-19 victory over the Vikings on Sunday.
Among all the mistakes made by the home team, it was the Vikings’ eight false starts among 13 penalties on the afternoon. McCarthy was wildly inconsistent, completing only 20 of 42 passes with a late touchdown strike to Jalen Nailor. He threw two interceptions on two poorly thrown deep attempts and had numerous passes tipped or batted down at the line of scrimmage. Jefferson was held to four catches for 37 yards, while Nailor hauled in five passes for 124 yards and the score. Minnesota converted three of 14 third down. The Vikings host Chicago next week.

The Badgers (3-6, 1-5 Big Ten) had lost 11 straight games against Power Four opponents The Badgers withstood an injury to quarterback Danny O’Neil, who was making his first start since Sept. 13 and got carted off the field with an apparent leg injury in the first quarter. Freshman Carter Smith took over for Wisconsin and went 3 of 12 passing for 8 yards in his college debut, though he rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown. Half of Wisconsin’s 48 yards passing came from punter Sean West, who threw a 24-yard completion on a successful fake. The Badgers are in Indiana this week.
The Houston Rockets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 122-115 Giannis Antetokounmpo had 37 points and eight rebounds for Milwaukee, but went 1 of 4 from the foul line in the game’s final 89 seconds. The Bucks ended up shooting 14 of 24 from the line. Ryan Rollins scored 19 for Milwaukee.
