MILWAUKEE (AP) Ryan Rollins scored 27 points and the Milwaukee Bucks withstood a brilliant performance from Trey Murphy III to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 141-137 in overtime Wednesday night. Murphy scored a career-high 44 points and shot 12 of 19 from 3-point range. The Bucks pulled ahead for good by scoring the first five points of overtime, on a Rollins driving layup and a Myles Turner 3-pointer. New Orleans trailed 139-137 when Zion Williamson was called for an offensive foul just before Saddiq Bey hit a 3-pointer that would have put the Pelicans ahead with 6.5 seconds left in overtime. The Bucks will next be in action Friday when they take on the Indiana Pacers.

Anthony Edwards scored 13 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter, Bones Hyland had 20 points and the Minnesota Timberwolves overcame an 18-point deficit to beat the Toronto Raptors 128-126 on Wednesday. Jaden McDaniels scored 19 points, Naz Reid and Julius Randle each had 17 and Donte DiVincenzo added 15 as the Timberwolves won for the fifth time in six games.The Timberwolves will take on the New Orleans Pelicans tomorrow.

Matt Boldy scored three times in the first 13 minutes and assisted on Jared Spurgeon’s goal with 45.1 seconds left on the clock in overtime to lead the Minnesota Wild over the Nashville Predators 6-5 on Wednesday night. Yakov Trenin and Vladimir Tarasenko also scored and Filip Gustavsson made 30 saves for the Wild, who have won five straight games. The Wild will next be in late February as the NHL enters the Olympic break.

In women’s college basketball the Indiana Hoosiers topped the Wisconsin Badgers 77-74.
