MILWAUKEE (AP) — Caleb Durbin’s sacrifice fly drove in the winning run for the Milwaukee Brewers, who earned their first sweep of the season with a 6-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox in 10 innings. For the second consecutive day, the Brewers won in walk-off fashion in extra innings. Christian Yelich’s grand slam in the 10th gave them a 5-1 victory Tuesday night. Durbin’s late-game heroics Wednesday capped off a two-hit, three-RBI day and included a two-run double that gave Milwaukee its first lead of the day. Tyler Alexander got the win. Justin Slaten took the loss.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Brandon Lowe and Junior Caminero hit fourth-inning home runs, and Drew Rasmussen allowed one hit in six innings to lead the Tampa Bay Rays over the Minnesota Twins 5-0. Lowe led off the fourth on Wednesday with his 11th home run. Caminero hit his 10th with Jonathan Aranda aboard. Aranda added an RBI single and the Rays’ also scored on a balk. Lowe, Aranda and Caminero had two hits each. Chandler Simpson stole two bases for 16 this season.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points, and the Oklahoma City Thunder routed the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-94 to win the Western Conference finals series 4-1 and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2012. Chet Holmgren had 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocks and Jalen Williams added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Thunder. Oklahoma City will play the Indiana Pacers or New York Knicks in the finals. Indiana leads the Eastern Conference finals series 3-1 with Game 5 to be played in New York City on Thursday.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Carter Verhaeghe broke a tie off a feed from Aleksander Barkov with 7:39 left and the defending champion Florida Panthers advanced to their third straight Stanley Cup Final, beating the Carolina Hurricanes 5-3 on Wednesday night in Game 5. The Panthers beat the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference final for the second time in three seasons. The Panthers will face the winner of the Western final between Dallas and Edmonton, with the Oilers up 3-1 to put them within a win of a rematch with Florida for the Cup. Sam Bennett added an empty-net goal with 54 seconds left by skating down a loose puck straight out of the penalty box after Florida had held up against a critical late power play for the Hurricanes.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Vancouver’s Yohei Takaoka saved the only shot he faced in a scoreless duel with Minnesota United’s Dayne St. Clair as the Whitecaps upped their unbeaten run to 10. The Whitecaps (9-1-5) have not lost in 15 straight matches through all competitions. Vancouver heads to the biggest match in club history on Sunday against LIGA MX powerhouse Cruz Azul in the CONCACAF Champions Cup Final in Mexico City. Takaoka posted his seventh clean sheet of the season — one behind St. Clair, the league leader who finished with three saves. The Whitecaps fall a point behind Philadelphia for first place in the Supporter’s Shield race after the Union rallied to beat Toronto FC 2-1 on the road.
