Milwaukee, which swept three games in Philadelphia earlier this season, clinched the season series and a potential tiebreaker against the Phillies. Talking to reporters, Miller says he’s facing the possibility of a second Tommy John surgery as he deals with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing elbow. Miller says he planned to speak with Dr. Keith Meister regarding his MRI results and to get feedback on the next steps. Miller, who turns 35 next month, previously underwent Tommy John surgery in 2017.

Taylor followed with a go-ahead two-run double as the Chicago White Sox rallied to beat the Minnesota Twins 4-3 on Wednesday night for their fourth straight win.Baldwin’s hit pulled the White Sox to 3-2 with Andrew Benitendi advancing to third.. After Baldwin stole second, Taylor pulled a ball down the left field line to give the White Sox their first lead of the night. Edgar Quero had a solo homer in the second and then scored in the ninth on Baldwin’s single against Justin Topa (1-5). Grant Taylor (1-4) pitched 1 1/3 innings to get the win, and Jordan Leasure got the last three outs for his sixth save.
(Green Bay, WI) – Micah Parsons made his first appearance on the Green Bay Packers injury report Wednesday. The defensive end was listed as limited during the Wednesday session, dealing with a back injury. Reportedly Parsons is dealing with a facet joint sprain in his back and may need a painkilling injection to play against the Lions on Sunday. Head Coach Matt LaFleur said Parsons is rehabbing hard and the team is hopeful he can go Sunday. Quarterback Jordan Love was a full participant as he remains on track to play after having left thumb surgery in August.
(Madison, WI) – One of the top men’s hockey players in American history will take his place among his peers this year when Joe Pavelski gets inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame. Pavelski finished his NHL playing days as Wisconsin’s all-time leading NHL scorer with 1,068 points over his 18-year professional career. The Plover, Wisconsin, native skated in 1,332 regular-season games and scored a Badger-best 476 career goals playing with the San Jose Sharks and Dallas Stars. As a Badger, Pavelski earned 2006 Second-Team All-America honors when he led UW in scoring on its way to the 2006 NCAA Championship.
