(Milwaukee, WI) — The Bucks’ losing streak is five games in a row following Monday’s 115-103 defeat at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers. Bobby Portis led Milwaukee in scoring with 22 points off the bench. Portland led most of the way, built a big lead early in the fourth quarter, then survived a Bucks rally. Myles Turner posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Milwaukee is back on the court Wednesday with a game in Miami against the Heat.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — DeMar DeRozan scored 33 points and the Sacramento Kings took advantage of Minnesota’s second straight stunning collapse, rallying late in regulation and outlasting the Timberwolves 117-112 in overtime. On Friday night in Phoenix, the Timberwolves blew an eight-point lead with less than a minute left in a 114-113 loss. Against the Kings, they were up 10 with three minutes left. After DeRozan tied it at 101 with two free throws with 34 seconds left in regulation, Anthony Edwards missed a jumper for Minnesota, and DeRozan and Malik Monk missed shots on the final possession. The Kings won their second straight after rallying to beat Denver 128-123 on Saturday night on the road to end an eight-game losing streak. They are 5-13. Edwards scored 43 points.

(Green Bay, WI) — The Packers are three-point underdogs in their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Detroit Lions. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm. Green Bay won the first time the two teams played in the season opener by a 27-13 score. A dominant defensive effort helped the Packers get by Minnesota Sunday 23-6. Josh Jacobs missed the game and hasn’t been cleared for Thursday yet.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Micah Parsons says Green Bay’s defense still has room for improvement. Consider that a warning to the Packers’ remaining opponents. Green Bay’s defense is on pace to produce the kind of statistics this franchise hasn’t seen since it was winning titles. That defense made quite the statement Sunday by holding the Minnesota Vikings to 4 total yards in the second half of a 23-6 victory. That defense is about to face tougher tests. Green Bay’s next five opponents all have winning records.

EAGAN, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have placed quarterback J.J. McCarthy in the concussion protocol, putting his availability for the upcoming game at Seattle in question. McCarthy first reported symptoms during the team’s travel home from the 23-6 loss at Green Bay, coach Kevin O’Connell said Monday. The medical staff made the decision to put him in the protocol after returning to Minnesota. O’Connell did not rule McCarthy out for Sunday but said rookie backup Max Brosmer would step in with the first-string offense in practice this week until or unless McCarthy is cleared. The Vikings are 4-7.

(Madison, WI) — Last week’s 28-point loss to Brigham Young University has knocked the Badgers out of the Associated Press College Basketball Poll. Wisconsin had been listed in the top 25 for that poll and the USA Today Coaches Poll. It appears in neither this week. Coach Greg Gard’s team did get enough votes to rank 26th, but the polling doesn’t go that far. The Badgers take on Providence Thursday in the Rady Children’s Invitational in San Diego. They will also have a game Friday.

(Milwaukee, WI) — Brewers spring training tickets go on sale today (Tuesday). The available tickets will be for games at American Family Fields of Phoenix and the preseason exhibition games at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Parking tickets won’t be available yet, with an announcement about that yet to come.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Anders Dreyer scored in the second half and Pablo Sisniega made three saves to lead expansion side San Diego FC to a 1-0 victory over Minnesota United in a Western Conference semifinal at a sold-out Snapdragon Stadium. San Diego will host the second-seeded Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday with a chance to play for the MLS Cup on the line. No. 5 seed New York City FC travels to play third-seeded Miami for the Eastern Conference title, in Saturday’s first match.
