The Brewers used late offense to knock off Tampa Bay, 6–2, Tuesday night at American Family Field. Milwaukee was held hitless for more than four innings by Rays ace Shane McClanahan, but the bats broke through in the fifth. Brice Turang drove in two runs with a single, then a replay reversal turned a rundown into the go‑ahead run. Gary Sánchez added a solo homer in the sixth as the Brewers pulled away. Jonathan Aranda and Nick Fortes homered for Tampa Bay. Brandon Woodruff earned the win, striking out six in five innings.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Umpire C.B. Bucknor’s tough start to the season continues. Bucknor was working as the first-base umpire for the Milwaukee Brewers’ 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday when he made a call that was so obviously incorrect from a reply that it had both managers smiling afterward. This call came after Bucknor had the poorest results among umpires in Major League Baseball’s new Automated Ball-Strike System last weekend.

Ryan Rollins scored a game‑high 24 points, added seven rebounds and nine assists, as the Bucks snapped a four‑game skid, routing the Dallas Mavericks 123‑99 Tuesday night in Milwaukee. Kyle Kuzma chipped in 20 points, while A.J. Green added 17 off the bench. For Dallas, Cooper Flagg finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds, his 12th double‑double this season. The Bucks led by 14 at halftime and pulled away in the second half, building a lead that reached 31 points late in the fourth.

The NFL has approved a rule change that could speed up Micah Parsons’ return to the field for the Green Bay Packers next season. Under the new rule, players placed on the reserve physically‑unable‑to‑perform list can begin practicing after missing just two regular‑season games, instead of four. Parsons is recovering from ACL surgery after going down in December, and the team says there’s no set timetable with the season still months away. If Parsons opens 2026 on the PUP list, he could start practicing as early as Week Three. The Packers also expect several other injured starters back later this year, including Tucker Kraft, Devonte Wyatt and Zach Tom.

Four‑time world champion Italy has failed to qualify for a third straight men’s World Cup. The Italians were eliminated Tuesday in the European playoffs, losing a penalty shootout to Bosnia and Herzegovina — despite Bosnia playing with ten men. Bosnia won the shootout four‑to‑one and qualified for the World Cup for just the second time, and first since 2014. The decisive penalty was scored by Esmir Bajraktarevic — a 21‑year‑old Appleton native who switched his international allegiance to Bosnia last year. It’s another stunning chapter in Italy’s ongoing downfall on the world stage.
