MILWAUKEE (AP) —Sal Frelick hit a solo shot to end Milwaukee’s stretch of seven straight games without a homer and Tyler Black went 3 for 5 with three RBIs as the Brewers trounced the Arizona Diamondbacks 13-2 on Tuesday night.Milwaukee broke the game open by scoring eight runs in the sixth off reliever Andrew Hoffmann. Frelick put the Brewers ahead for good when he led off the second inning by sending a 1-2 pitch from Merrill Kelly (1-2) over the wall in right-center field. Julio Rodriguez hit three doubles, scored twice and drove in two runs, and Josh Naylor had a homer and four RBI on Tuesday night as the Seattle Mariners beat the Minnesota Twins 7-1. Four Seattle relievers combined to retire the last 12 Twins hitters.Minnesota starter Joe Ryan (2-3) gave up two runs in six-plus innings. Byron Buxton homered and singled for the Twins, who have lost 10 of 12. The two teams will wrap up the three game series this afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 12:40.

Matt Boldy scored the tiebreaking power-play goal in the final minute of the second period, after having one taken away late in the first, and the Minnesota Wild beat the Dallas Stars 4-2 on Tuesday night for a 3-2 lead in their first-round Western Conference series.Rookie goalie Jesper Wallstedt had 20 saves, 11 in the third period. The Wild go home for Game 6 on Thursday with a chance to advance to the second round for the first time since 2015.

In the NHL last night the Boston Bruins kept the season alive with a 2-1 win in overtime over the Buffalo Sabres and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-1 to extend their season.

In the NBA the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics 113-97 to keep the season alive, The New YOrk Knicks fended off elimination with a 126-97 win over the Atlanta Hawks, and the San Antonio Spurs finished off the Portland Trail Blazers with a 114-95 win to win their series 4-1.

In high school soccer Rice Lake topped Superior 2-0.
