(Milwaukee, WI) — The Bucks broke a close game open in the closing minutes when Kevin Porter Junior hit a 3-pointer and was fouled. The free throw gave Milwaukee a two-point edge on the way to Tuesday night’s 128-117 victory over Miami. Porter pumped in a season-high 32 points, getting 21-point help from Ryan Rollins and Bobby Portis. The Bucks have won seven times in their last nine games.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Anthony Edwards scored 34 points and made five 3-pointers to help the Minnesota Timberwolves hold off the Portland Trail Blazers 124-121, their fourth win in their last five games. Jaden McDaniels added 27 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and five blocks for the Timberwolves. Donte DiVincenzo had 19 points and made five 3-pointers, and Julius Randle had 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Rudy Gobert had 19 rebounds and changed the game defensively. (Washington, DC) — Marquette grabbed the lead at Georgetown with about six minutes left in the first half and never trailed again. The Golden Eagles took the Big East Conference road game 76-60 Tuesday night. Freshman Nigel James Junior scored 20 points to go with six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Adrien Stevens scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half. Marquette has a record of 10-and-18, 5-and-12 in conference play, with a home game against DePaul coming up Sunday.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Elliot Cadeau had 15 points and L.J. Cason scored 11 of his 14 points in the second half as No. 3 Michigan beat Minnesota 77-67 to clinch at least a share of the Big Ten title for the first time in five years. The Wolverines can earn an outright championship with a win at No. 10 Illinois on Friday night or next week at Iowa or at home against 15th-ranked Michigan State. Michigan was coming off a 68-63 loss to Duke that dropped the Wolverines down from No. 1 and vaulted the Blue Devils to the top spot in the AP Top 25.

(Mesa, AZ) — The Brewers won for the first time this spring when they blanked the Athletics Tuesday afternoon, 10-0. Tyler Black provided the power, going 3-for-3 with a homer and six runs batted in. He also stole a base. Nine Milwaukee pitchers combined to shut out the Athletics on five hits. The Brewers are back in action this afternoon (Wednesday) when they take on the Giants.
(Green Bay, WI) — The Packers will have to make a lot of roster moves this offseason, but veteran running back Josh Jacobs won’t be going anywhere. Green Bay could save eight million dollars against the cap by setting its feature back free, but general manager Brian Gutekunst tells reports that’s not going to happen. Lombardi Avenue-dot-com reports the front office feels Jacobs has “a lot of good years left.” Jacobs is under contract for two more seasons.
