MILWAUKEE (AP) — Cooper Pratt has reached the major leagues 2 ½ months after the Milwaukee Brewers signed the shortstop prospect to an eight-year, $50.75 million contract. Pratt made his major league debut and went 0 for 3 in a 2-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday night after getting called up from Triple-A Nashville. They made room for Pratt by designating third baseman Luis Rengifo for assignment. Brewers officials showed their faith in Pratt when they signed him on April 3 to an eight-year deal that includes club options for 2034 and 2035.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Trevor Larnach led off the game with a home run, Kody Clemens added a three-run shot and the Minnesota Twins clinched another series in Texas with an 12-2 victory over the Rangers. Larnach drove the second pitch of Tuesday night’s game 425 feet deep into the right-field seats. Clemens’ 11th homer made it 5-0 in the third. Minnesota right-hander Zebby Matthews struck out four without a walk in seven innings. The Twins have won the first two in this three-game set for their fourth consecutive series win at Texas. Rangers starter Kumar Rocker allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings.
(Detroit, MI) — Badgers star Caroline Harvey is expected to be the first pick in the 2026 Professional Women’s Hockey League Draft this afternoon (Wednesday). Harvey led the USA to a gold medal in the Olympics and also claimed the Patty Kazmaier Award as the top player in the country. The draft is being held in Detroit, and Harvey should hear her name called shortly after 4:00 p-m. As many as three additional Wisconsin players are expected to go in the first 10 picks – Laila Edwards, Kirsten Simms, and Lacey Edens.

(Madison, WI) — Wisconsin defensive line coach E-J Whitlow has been singled out as one of the five best assistant coaches in the Big Ten. MatrixAnalytical-dot-com made the announcement. Whitlow’s first unit ranked 91st in the country after giving up 165 yards per game rushing. Last year, the Badgers limited opponents to 105 yards per game on the ground.
